We don't deserve Harris, Walz.

I cried yesterday, watching Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, not because of anything they said, but because of who they are. These two extraordinary humans stand as our last bastion against a grotesque tide of fascist psychopaths. In the kaleidoscope of chaos that is our nation’s current state, they shine with a goodness that surpasses anything this fractured country deserves.

In the midst of a populace so blissfully unaware, so criminally ignorant of the precipice upon which they stand, that the very notion of freedom slips through their fingers like grains of sand. The American dream, once a luminous beacon of hope and liberty, now flickers with the delicacy of a candle in the breeze, smothered by the thick, choking fog of tyranny. We are perilously close to plunging headlong into the dark abyss of a terrorist regime, our collective sanity hanging by a thread.

In this swirling maelstrom of disarray, Harris and Walz emerge like ethereal warriors, armed not with swords but with unyielding integrity and an unshakable commitment to justice. Their very presence is a testament to the possibility of redemption, a whisper of hope in a cacophony of despair. They fight not for accolades or recognition but for the soul of a nation that has lost its way and for a populace grotesquely unappreciative of the hope they carry with them or the danger waiting should they fail.

The American populace, ensnared in the glittering web of consumerism and selfish distractions, remains oblivious to the existential threat at our doorstep. We are on the verge of a descent into madness, our liberty poised to be swallowed whole by the insidious machinations of power-hungry tyrants. The harsh truth is that we do not deserve the salvation Harris and Walz offer, but they are poised to deliver it nonetheless.

Their mission is a luminous beacon cutting through the encroaching darkness, an ethereal reminder that even amidst the corruption and decay, there are those who fight for the essence of our humanity. They are the unwarranted saviors, the undeserved champions, whose battle transcends the petty worth of a nation lost in its own delusions. In the annals of history, their stand will be remembered not for the triumphs they achieved, but for the unwavering spirit with which they fought against the dying of the light.

They are not mere politicians; they are the living embodiment of a higher calling, a divine intervention in the guise of mere mortals. Their every step, every breath, is a defiance of the darkness that seeks to engulf us. And as they march forward, undeterred by the weight of an ungrateful nation, they offer us a chance, however undeserved, to reclaim the promise of what America could be.

So here we stand, on the edge of oblivion, with Harris and Walz as our guiding stars. They remind us that even in our deepest, darkest moments, there is still light to be found. They are the echoes of a lost ideal, the last guardians of a fading dream. Though we may not deserve them, they are here to save us anyway, fighting not for the nation we are, but for the nation we could become.

It's pulls the breath from my body to think about, but:

We Are Not Going Back.
